Explore the World of Metal


Meet artists and craftspeople demonstrating traditional and contemporary metalworking techniques throughout the festival, including:


• Iron casting
• Blacksmithing
• Copper smithing
• Aluminum arts
• Riveting
• Glassmaking
• Ceramics
• Traditional folk arts


Watch live demonstrations, ask questions, discover centuries-old techniques, and roll up your sleeves with hands-on activities designed for both children and adults.


Knowledgeable interpreters will also be stationed throughout the Carrie Blast Furnaces, sharing the stories of the workers, innovations, and industrial legacy that shaped this extraordinary place.
